Now 78, he has undergone a number of spinal operations over several decades, which left him with a number of issues including:
A drop foot; weakness and poor circulation in the left lower leg; residual reduced sensation below the waist; lower back weakness and occasional spasm; difficulty walking more than a couple hundred yards before back spasm; discomfort while standing.
Post-covid, John became increasingly immobile and sluggish.
Then he discovered the Therapy Centre…
“I became a client of the Therapy Centre after dropping off someone else for a session.
I thought that it could help me considerably, as I was unable to walk far and could not do exercise standing.
I have found a huge overall improvement in my general fitness, movement and flexibility.
It is easier standing and my walking has improved; though I still cannot walk far, I generally feel better.
I can cope much better with day-to-day tasks, and the grandchildren!
This has been transformative and I am so grateful to the excellent team for their support and encouragement.
Frankly I do not want to think about how my general physical well-being would deteriorate without my visits to the Therapy Centre.
A traditional gym would not meet my needs.”
