Cross Cycle

🔍 Description

Promotes lower limb movement, and flexion and extension of the upper limbs. Using this machine will promote strengthening of the thigh & shoulder muscles and improve aerobic fitness.

Lower limb movement will stimulate the quadriceps, which are a group of four muscles that pass down the front of the thigh. They enable us to strengthen the knee joint and flex at the hip. These actions are essential for everyday activities such as moving from sitting to standing, walking and navigating stairs.

Upper limb movement will strengthen the pectoralis major and anterior deltoid muscle fibres, located within the shoulder area. These muscles are important for activities such as reaching and carrying things. The triceps muscle will also be utilised; they help with daily activities such as getting up from the chair. Regular exercise of the triceps muscles will improve the appearance of the upper arm.
