We were delighted to have Newbury MP Lee Dillon visit us at the Centre on Monday 6th October. Also in attendance were Veronica (Centre Manager), Norman (Chairman, Board of Trustees) and John (Development Director, Board of Trustees).
Mr Dillon, Liberal Democrat MP for Newbury since 2024, saw for himself the importance of the work that West Berkshire Therapy Centre undertakes on a daily basis. He spoke to Matthew (one of his constituents but also our client and volunteer) about the physical and social impact the Centre has on the lives of the clients who attend, and how regular exercise can lead to pain reduction and an increase in strength and/or mobility among other benefits.
He also tried out our Cross Cycle machine and spoke to Veronica, Norman and John about the work they’ve been doing as a not-for-profit charity since it opened in 2014.
